TYMARK Associates, LLC

Profiles

David Gutierrez, President

My background is quite diverse in nature. I have 18+ years of strong, manufacturing experience within several industry categories. The companies, both public and private, varied in size from $50mm to $4.0B in sales. The products ranged from injection molding to food processing. My experiences encompassed all aspects of manufacturing to include Operations, Quality, Engineering, Inventory & Materials Management, Distribution and Sales/Marketing.

Enhancing my broad technical background is an extensive and detailed knowledge of the latest management techniques and skills. I have personally been involved with implementation of: ISO 9001/9002 & QS9000 certification, MRP/MAPICS, KANBAN, SPC, Taguchi Design of Experiments, KAIZEN, Theory of Constraints, TQM, Pay-For-Performance and Self-Directed Work Teams. I am also a member of several national organizations (i.e. ASQ, APICS, PMA) and have a BS in Education.

These experiences have enabled me to relate exceptionally well to Clients and Candidates alike. I am a first generation American, whose parents immigrated from
Japan and Mexico. I¹ve spent a considerable amount of time in both countries. Because I was raised in these cultures, I feel that I am able to offer a unique perspective that few others can provide. The understanding of what it takes to manage large groups of people, be a change agent, turn a profit, focus on details and yet still maintain a perspective of the big picture enables me to recognize these skills in others. Those who chose to work with me gain the benefit of my skills and the diverse intuition of several cultures. This, coupled with years of networking within an ever-changing industry provides an edge to those with whom I work. I look forward to an opportunity to work with you.

Don Anderson

My background is also quite diverse, yet complementary to David’s. I have 30+ years of strong organization management experience within varied disciplines. The companies, both public and private, varied in size from as small as $3mm to the largest manufacturing corporation in the world.  My experience also encompassed most organization disciplines including General Management, Finance, Operations, Quality, Engineering, Distribution and Sales/Marketing.

Enhancing the broad background is detailed knowledge of the latest management techniques including hands on application for creating organization improvement.  In addition to personally implementing ISO 9001:2000, ERP systems including CRM, Lean Manufacturing, Taguchi Design of Experiments, Theory of Constraints, TQM, and Self-Directed Work Teams; I have provided many seminars on these subjects for clients.

I have also gone beyond these techniques in many areas through my teaching at both Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) and the University of New Hampshire (UNH).   I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the The Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire.

Eleven years of independent long term consulting to companies in the above mentioned disciplines enables me to better understand your needs as a client of TYMARK Associates, LLC.  This, coupled with years of networking within multiple industries provides valuable experience to those with whom I work. But experience without application is of no value; so I look forward to the opportunity to add value from my experience in working with you.

Kim Gerard

My background has primarily been in Human Resources & Organizational Development for the last 26 years, although I have taken on assignments in General Management, Operations, Sales, Materials and Loss Prevention/Safety.   My manufacturing experience includes Pulp & Paper, Wood Products, Food Processing, Electronics, Pharmaceutical Printing, Leather products and Metal Cutting/Removal.  The companies, both public and private, ranged in size from $10mm to $4.0B in sales.

I’ve had leadership roles in the implementation of the Toyota Manufacturing System; Self Directed Work Teams, ISO 9001/9002 and numerous company wide operating systems.  Additionally, I have selected and implemented numerous Human Resource Information Systems.  I have developed Compensation/Reward Systems that have been a major success factor in achieving strategic objectives.  My role, on due diligence teams, have resulted in four successful acquisitions during my career.  I am also a Certified Facilitator.

I have a BS in Business Management Studies from the University of Maine and have been a member of the Society of Human Resource Management, National Employers Leadership Council, and the American Society for Training and Development.

I understand the strategic advantage superior talent can make for an organization.  It is probably the most expensive, and single most important, investment any organization makes.  My goal is to assist you in adding value to your organization by presenting you with superior human resources that will allow you to achieve strategic advantage.  As stated in Jim Collins book “GOOD TO GREAT” you have to first get the right people on the bus, the wrong people off the bus and the right people in the right seats – then you figure out where to drive it.
